About Us

The Dulwich Players is a leading amateur theatre group based in Dulwich, South East London.

Founded in 1969, following the amalgamation of The Dulwich Dramatic Society and The Village Players, this active and thriving theatre group has around 100 members producing a varied programme of theatre.

The Dulwich Players perform at a number of venues, including the Edward Alleyn Theatre, Dulwich College and the St. Barnabas Parish Hall, as well as open-air performances in the gardens of Bell House in  Dulwich Village, . In addition, we stage performed readings and contribute to events set up by other organisations.

Besides staging several productions every year, The Dulwich Players organise regular social events open to everyone, including play readings in local venues, as well as theatre night outs, workshops and talks.

Watch us in action in this 2018 Giffgaff video presenting our group, during a rehearsal of our panto "Jack and the Beanstalk".
